Forum Moves to New Power Server!
I've fine-tuned the new server and reset the survey, so please let me know what you think by taking the survey. Thanks!
I am pleased to announce that the Forum has recently moved to a new, more powerful Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX200 server with Intel D2786 chipsets, 2 Quadcore Xeon E5520 CPUs, 16 gig DDR3 DIMM-RAM, and 4 hard discs in a RAID configuration to eliminate any possible data loss.
The old dual Xeon dedicated server was no slouch, but the new server with 4 times the processing power should provide a substantial boost in performance and stability. Nevertheless, the true test is what the Forum Members experience using the Forum on a daily basis. Therefor, I have posted a survey to better ascertain how the new server is performing. Thread Notification Reset (12-17-08)
Thread Notification is a feature in which Forum Members may set the Forum to alert them by email when there is a new report in specified threads.
Lately, the number of returned emails from these Notifications has reached an epidemic level, compelling me to cancel all Notifications setup more than 30 days ago. Forum members with valid email addresses may now reset Thread Notifications to continue receiving these notices as desired. Thanks, Jackson
Booking Photos in the Forum (12-06-08)
I was disappointed by the number forum members in the recent survey who believe that this forum should be used as a tool for LE in their efforts to publicly embarrass and humiliate people arrested for commercial sex activities.
Anyway, I've written a new survey which poses the question from a different perspective: "If YOU were arrested for a prostitution-related crime, would YOU want other members posting your name and booking photos in the Forum?" Thanks, Jackson

I have renamed all the Classified Ads thread to "Escort Classified Ads" to better reflect that these threads are for escort ads only, and may not be used to advertise porn sites, Viagra, personal blogs or for any other type of SPAM. Thanks, Jackson

Easy Photo Uploading (04-28-07)
To make the process of uploading photos more user-friendly, I have simplified the directions for both resizing and uploading photos. Please click here to review the new Photo Resize & Uploading Directions.
I have also identified and reviewed several free, easy-to-use websites where you can resize, rotate and crop photo files as needed. If you haven't uploaded your photos because they were too large, then please try out one of these free websites. Thanks, Jackson
Using Ignore Lists (01-23-07)
I just finished responding to more than 100 reported posts, a task that in itself will give anyone a headache, but this particular batch struck me has having an unusually high number of complaints that essentially amounted to one member not liking another member's writing style or report content, which leads me to offer this general suggestion:
If you don't like another Forum Member's reports, then simply add them to your "Ignore List" and you'll never see their reports again.
You can access your personal "Ignore List" under your User CP. Just login, select "User CP" from the top menu bar, then select "Buddy / Ignore Lists" from the left side column.
